How Do Women Benefit From Coffee Drinking?
By Mark Ramos
Coffee is a huge part of the American culture, especially when you use it to get through an early morning. This provokes the question as to how coffee can directly affect women’s health, and what type of benefits it will provide to them? If you are a woman on the go who has a hard time opening her eyes in the morning without her trusty Java, then this is something that you need to know.
The average cup of Joe will have around 100 mg of caffeine, and it is not advised to consume more than 300 mg of caffeine per day. This is something to understand as a woman, especially since so many large Java chains do serve a supersized variety of a cup of Joe, so it is best to focus on in the caffeine count rather than the actual size of your Java drink. Meaning, if you are drinking three extra extra large cups of Joe every day, then you could be consuming way more caffeine than is recommended in the estimated 3 cups a day per woman. As a woman, you can rest assured that Java provides so many health benefits, especially reducing the risk of bladder cancer. This does not mean that you need to overdo it on Java, as we just discussed, but it is worth your while to incorporate this drink into your daily diet to reduce the risk of disease.
Many women have been recommended in the past to stay away from Java because it is said to be a diuretic. Fantastically enough, the opposite has proved to be true, simply because you can now count your cup of Joe in your daily liquid intake. There was a recent study noting that Java drinkers had the same fluid levels throughout the day as those drinking only water. Once again, this is in moderation, not to the excess in Java due to the high caffeine content. If you are a pregnant woman, then it many doctors are in the school of thought that you can drink Java in moderation. However, the fantastic news for you to know is that there are many decaf varieties of coffee available to you that taste just as good as the real thing. And why is that? Now there are more advanced processes in a decaffeination of the beans, retaining the flavor and value of the taste. One main process to look for in decaffeination of your Java if you are pregnant is the Swiss Water Process, which uses natural ingredients to extract the caffeine from the beans so that there are no harmful chemicals involved.
Another great word of advice for any gender is to quit smoking, especially since that can go hand-in-hand with Java drinking. Yes, that is a stereotype, but did you know that the old studies speaking ill of coffee were simply because most of the Java drinkers were also smokers? Many people love to have a latte and a cigarette, but as a woman, you can tap into the benefits of coffee without lighting up to simply drink to your health!
